Description

Grows as a shrub to c.5m in height with dark brown and green twigs which look very attractive if coppiced every 2 years.  Grows well as part of a waterside planting scheme or in combination with salix alba vitellina where the orange and dark brown stems make an attractive contrast.

Distribution

Salix myrsinifolia is native to the British Isles and widely distributed but more common in the North.
